QUALIFICATION OBJECTIVES
The OTHM Level 6 Diploma is developed to provide learners who have, or are looking to develop into, a senior role in an organisation with responsibilities for managing health and safety policy and practice. The qualification gives learners the opportunity to advance their understanding of OSH management. Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to understand the legal and regulatory background to occupational health and safety policy, to be able to assess policies, as well as to recommend and implement policy changes. Learners will develop knowledge and skills relevant to putting policy into practice, utilizing management systems, resources, risk and incident management, leadership, management and skills development.
QUALITY, STANDARDS AND RECOGNITIONS
The course is a formal UK qualification of 60 credits at Level 6 regulated by the UK Office of Qualifications and Examinations.
Exemption (RPL)
Learners having the following OSH practice qualifications may apply of Learning Outcomes Exemption in different extents respectively.
All relevant document proofs shall be provided upon enrollment to the course.
- Stage I: Holder of a qualified Safety Diploma in HK or Macau, or eqv.
- Stage II: Registered Safety Officer or competent safety supervisor in Macau
- Stage III: Holder of a qualified Safety Auditing Diploma
- Stage IV: Registered Safety Auditor
IOSH ACCREDITED
IOSH has approved the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety qualification for accreditation. Learners successfully completing the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in OSH, will be eligible to apply for Graduate/Certified membership “Grad IOSH” and/or “Cert IOSH” subject to meeting experiential criteria.
MASTER DEGREE PROGRESSION
Graduates of Level 6 Diploma are eligible to further study the OTHM Level 7 OSH Diploma at SRDI, and relevant Master Degree at universities in UK.

ASSESSMENT
No examination is required. Learners shall submit their written assignments in English by email.
PURELY DISTANCE LEARNING
Learners are required to study the course materials at their own workplaces. No tutorial class will be provided.
FEE
HK$ 12,800 including UK Registration and Certificate charge. Graduate may apply IOSH membership at their own choice.
