Qualification Objectives

The OTHM Level 6 Diploma is developed to provide learners who have, or are looking to develop into, a senior role in an organisation with responsibilities for managing health and safety policy and practice. The qualification gives learners the opportunity to advance their understanding of OSH management. Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to understand the legal and regulatory background to occupational health and safety policy, to be able to assess policies, as well as to recommend and implement policy changes. Learners will develop knowledge and skills relevant to putting policy into practice, utilizing management systems, resources, risk and incident management, leadership, management and skills development.

Quality, Standards and Recognitions

The course is a formal UK qualification of 60 credits at Level 6 regulated by the UK Office of Qualifications and Examinations.

Exemption (RPL)

Learners having the following OSH practice qualifications may apply Leaning Outcomes Exemption respectively. Relevant document proofs shall be provided upon enrollment to the course.

• Stage I: Holder of a qualified Safety Diploma in HK or Macau, or eqv.      
• Stage II: Registered Safety Officer in HK or Macau
• Stage III: Holder of a qualified Safety Auditing Diploma 
• Stage IV: Registered Safety Auditor

Professional Achievement: IOSH Accreditation

Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) has accredited the course as meeting the qualification of “Certified Member” subject to the experiential criteria. https://iosh.com/

Professional Achievement: IIRSM Membership

The course meets the basic qualification requirement of “Fellow Member” (FIIRSM) of the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management. https://www.iirsm.org/

Master Degree Progression

Assessment 

No exam is required. Learners shall submit their written assignments in English by email.

Purely distance learning

Learners are required to study the course materials at their own workplaces. No tutorial class will be provided.

HK$ 14,800 including UK Registration and Certificate charge. Graduate may feel free to apply IOSH membership at their own choice.
